a processing line made by Verderio in installed/commissioned in November 2019 and used once a week for a couple of hours at a time until covid struck in March 2020 and the compny went into lockdown; it was then mothballed and the company is now closed.

The line is designed for birds under 1.5kg processing quail at 1000 birds/hour and poussins at 500 birds/hour.

Viscon killing cabinet (argon), then a line with manual hanging over a bleeding trough, scald tank, wet plucking machine, neck puller… then on to a Bayle semi automatic evisceration machine with outside vacuum pump and holding tank.. on to hock cutter and hock unloader.

At present the line is still complete and in-situ in thew UK.
